Retail Therapy

I am a counselor, so I hate using the word therapy for things which are not actually so. I do, however, feel certain material things can be very therapeutic to the right person! I did a little retail therapy today at Old Navy and it made me feel very good about finding my style again. Here are a few things I purchased...

After my retail therapy I participated in pedicure therapy. That always makes me feel better! I even splurged and got a cute flower painted on my big toe!

Finally, I ended my therapy session with an awesome glass of wine.  I have tried the white wine in this brand, but this was my first time to drink the chardonnay. I have been on a Cupcake wine kick, but I think I will be buying this one again!

Here's to therapy!!!

A Welcome Note

OK, so I am totally new to the blogging world. Well, blogging myself anyway. I have a few blogs that I follow regularly, and today I felt as though I needed a little inspiration for myself.  The name doesn't mean I love to wear diamonds with my blue jeans, but that I am a little two sided. I am a jeans and ponytail kind of girl, but love nothing more than to feel beautiful and stylish.  As I sit here in my t-shirt and Texas State cotton shorts, I begin to wonder if I should put a little more effort into looking good on my days off! I am all about comfort and functionality, but I seem to be sacrificing the style.

I am a working mom with a brand new job, a brand new home, and a brand new 2 year old! Needless to say the stress in my life sometimes takes over, and everything else I once new and loved sits in the back of my mind. It seems gone, but not forgotten! I hope to get my style and creativity back, and this blog is just what I needed!

As I post my random thoughts and ideas, I encourage comments with suggestions, critiques, and praises! Help me get back to the stylish, creative person I feel like I once was!
